China, the most populous nation in the world, also has many orphaned and abandoned children. In recent years China has centralized the process of international adoption of these children making it one of the easiest countries for Americans to adopt.
VCI provides significant humanitarian aid to several orphanages in China. Providing improved medical care, better food, warm clothing, toys, and building improvements are ways that VCI is making life better for hundreds of waiting children. More significantly, VCI helps find Christian families from America who will adopt orphaned children and give them hope of a loving home and eternal life. The children available for adoption range in age from 9 months -13 years.
How VCI helps you adopt from China
1. VCI provides guidance and assistance in preparing documents required by all US and Chinese government agencies.
2. We provide regular communication so you will know as much as possible about the progress toward the adoption.
3. Once you have a referral of a particular child, we furnish you with all documents and information available for your child, including all available medical information. When possible, our staff Pediatrician will visit your child in the orphanage, examine her, and arrange medical testing if necessary.
4. We provide English translations of Chinese documents and translation of your dossier into Chinese.
5. VCI in-country representatives will serve as your escort, interpreter, and guide as you travel in China to adopt your child.
6. We provide extensive travel information to help you prepare for your adoption trip. We arrange all hotel, ground transportation, and air transportation in China.
7. We help you finalize the adoption in China and obtain your child's passport and visa for entry into the US.

The People's Republic of China and The Socialist Republic of Vietnam are two of only four Communist countries left in the world. Yet the greatest impact on their respective cultures is not Communism; it is the thousands of years of Eastern religious beliefs and rich cultural diversity. Both cultures are very rich in tradition with unique languages, customs, food, art, religions, minority groups, and histories.
China Program Overview
VCI has chosen to focus our adoption efforts in China on children with special needs. These adoptions take about half as long as an adoption of a child with no special needs. Many children have minor correctible needs like club feet, bowed legs, cleft lip, crossed eyes, or scars. Others have more significant or permanent special needs, like cleft
palate, missing limbs, or Hepatitis B. "Special Needs" also includes healthy children age 3 or older. Please consider changing a precious child's life forever (and yours too!)
